Product Manager

As Product Manager, you will work with a Scrum team that is charged with the success of a key ScribbleLive product line. You are driven to create innovative, world-class software solutions based on your market expertise and contact with customers and prospects. You possess a unique combination of business and technical acumen, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and finding innovative solutions for the broader market.

You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements by managing a product backlog in an agile development environment. You will work with product marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, helping to convey product positioning, key benefits, and target customers. You will also serve as the evangelist for your product offering, working with key internal and external stakeholders to collect feedback and communicate product plans and progress.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product ownership of key product line in Scrum environment
  • Leverage market expertise in developing product strategy and managing product roadmap
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers
  • Foster trusted relationships with core business stakeholders; manage incoming requests from internal and external sources, and communicate roadmap plans and progress
  • Define and manage the product roadmap: create epics and stories; manage the product backlog; work with Engineering and UX to deliver products on time and with a spectacular customer experience
  • Ensure a consistent and predictable rhythm for planning, goal setting, retrospectives, and releases

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have experience / exposure to marketing technology
  • 5+ years of software Scrum product owner experience
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills with an aptitude for presenting thoughts and ideas to senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with customers, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related
  • Experience with Agile tools - JIRA a plus
  • Ability to travel
