The Business Development Manager will be a polished and professional “hunter” who is strategic, entrepreneurial, values driven and passionate, and understands the long-term perspective. He/she will ideally have will have operated successfully within an early stage, rapidly growing organization. He/she is an inspirational team player and team builder who is a self-starter with determination, drive and energy. 

The key to success in this role? To develop new business opportunities, generate profitable sales revenue and build effective client relationships in line with the business objectives, growth plan and ScribbleLive Search brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate through various methods the Linkdex value proposition to prospects
  • Manage and execute sales cycle via web, conference calling and face to face meetings
  • Qualify opportunities and develop a strong pipeline
  • Forecast and manage sales activity utilizing Salesforce
  • Work with and manage to a monthly, quarterly and yearly quota
  • Liaise with Customer Success Team to manage smooth client transition
  • Provide customer and prospect feedback to marketing and product teams in support of product development

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified, ideally in a commercial subject or of degree calibre with relevant commercial experience in a related sector
  • Solid experience of selling Marketing Software or Services (SEO, PPC, Marketing Automation, Analytics, CRO, Social Media)
  • Experience of selling a SaaS technology platform an advantage
  • Proven success in developing new business and managing a complex sales cycle, from generating leads to closing deals, in competitive environments
  • Effective sales techniques and skills demonstrated by a successful track record of exceeding targets and goals
  • A sound understanding of the Europe online marketing sector would be a distinct advantage
  • Strong IT skills: MS Office Suite plus CRM experience, ideally Salesforce
